Droylsden Chan Day

Sunday 29th June we held a full day of "Chan Family Style Gung Fu" presided over by our technical consultant Sigung Mark Kemp (Master level) assisted by Sifu Mick Brown (3rd Level) and Sifu Ian Gibson (1st Level). We had 43 people turn up from as far away as Swansea, Scotland, Seaham, The Midlands plus our own Droylsden club. Fortunately the day started fine, so we were able to split into two groups; outside for Chan first form with Sifu Gibson and inside for technique with Sifu Brown. As the day wore on it started to rain so we all ended up in the hall; now that was cosy with 43 of us; you really get to know who your mates are! Still we managed some great techniques leading upto lunch time. And what a lunch! Lamb Bhuna curry made by Master Kemp, Kheema made by Sue Kemp (what a star) plus home made soup, sandwiches and more.

The afternoon followed the same format as the morning finishing off with some "hard" style Gung Fu.

All in all a great day!
