Soke Tom Baldwin
The World & British Federation of Martial Arts 31st May 2007: Tragic loss of Tom Baldwin Soke Tom was a co-founder and Chairman of the World and British Federation of Martial Arts.
He will be sorely missed by all his students, friends and family
Soke Tom Baldwin will be missed by myself and my family and all who knew him inside the martial arts and out Tom had a lot of friends in the North West which he visited every time he came to stay with me. I remember the first time I met him we had been talking on the phone are quite a while then I invited in to come and stay with us of the weekend which I was happy to say he accepted the first time I saw him was in a lay-by waiting for me to take into my house my first words were my God you’re a big one and his first words were and you are a little fat get and that was the start of a great friendship. Tom gives so much of himself to the martial arts and I for one appreciated his friendship is knowledge and his wisdom it is a shame so many people will lose out through not knowing Tom he had so much more to give and not Justin in Marshall arts. I lost more than a friend I lost a brother you wasn’t Tom when you came to visit your family in Oldham you was number five son and you always will be to my Mother and your four Brothers which still talk about you and probably always will.
